2nd time making this,,..I added some chopped peppers and green peas with the onions and garlic. A dash of zaatar and sumac with the rice and omitted the additional turmeric (seems a lot) and a squeeze of runny honey before I added the chicken back and put on a lid on my sauté pan and cooked for 20mins on the stove top.( my oven is out of action)

Hi Courtney, The rice in this dish works best if cooked in the flavours of the dish. I have not tired it out cooking the rice separately, so I’m no 100% sure how well it would work out.
